The Cape Town event of the year is on parade again, and it’s open to EVERYONE…
Let down your hair and slip into something ridiculously over-the-top! Africa’s biggest costume party Mother City Queer Project (MCQP) is celebrating its 19th incarnation.
Since its inception in 1994 MCQP, a proudly Capetonian event, has drawn people from near and far, far, far away to join in the creative and jovial spirit of the Mother City and to celebrate South Africa’s rich and vibrant constitution.
Voted by Queerlife readers as South Africa’s best LGBTI Event/Party in 2011, supported by Cape Town Tourism and endorsed by the City of Cape Town this annual event has become part of Cape Town colourful history.
Previous themes include: Maid in China (2011), Flower Power (2010), The Toolbox Project (2009), Lights, Camera, Action! (2008) and Matric Dance (2007).
I am looking forward to this. I have been given VIP tickets and look forward to playing dress up dress up. There are talks of my co-host on 2oceansvibe radio, Kamini going as Princess Jasmine – and if she does – I will go as her pet tiger, or Abu.
I went in 2010 when the theme was ‘flower power’
Competition Closed – 13 December 2012.
To win VIP tickets to 2012 MCQP, just tweet “I want to win tickets to @MCQP Fairytale Fantasy with @Yesreallyangel because I’m going dressed as (….)”
If you actually write (…) instead of filling in the answer I will flick your ear and judge you.
FIRST WINNER ANNOUNCED: @oh_her (Still 3 more single VIP Tickets to give away)
